Named for its lead tenant, the IBM Building was completed in 1964. Using engineering innovation, the building is designed with clear span and column free floor plates, giving more open space on each floor. The IBM Building is anchored by 12 graceful arches that reveal the glass-enclosed main floor and spiral staircase. Sculptures by local artists James Fitzgerald and Norman Warsinske are featured in the terrace and lobby of the 20-story building.

The IBM Building is located near freeway entrances and exits, commuter bus routes and Zipcars. Upscale retail establishments, The 5th Avenue Theatre, and Benihana are just steps away.

Minoru Yamasaki and The NBBJ Group Architects (formerly Naramore, Bain, Brady & Johanson) designed this award-winning building. It was the second successful collaboration of the two firms, which had previously worked together on the Federal Science Pavilion for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.
