The Puget Sound Plaza boasts one of the most flexible floor plans available in Seattle. Project architects The NBBJ Group (formerly Naramore, Bain, Brady & Johanson) designed the plaza. The two-story street section of the building was extensively remodeled in 1988 when Puget Sound Bank (now Key Bank) chose the building for its King County headquarters. The retail section was completely rebuilt, and the facade was updated with dark-gray polished granite panels, new windows and lighted metal awnings with glass skylights. In 2009, Puget Sound Plaza received a LEED®-EB Gold rating for efficient energy and water use. Ground floor retail includes Northwest Pendleton, Key Bank, Starbucks Coffee, Husky Central, Seattle Vision, and Visions Northwest. Union Deli is located on the fourth floor.
