Unico began investing in multifamily properties in 2004 with the redevelopment of The Cobb (www.cobbapartments.com) in downtown Seattle. Unico converted this 1910 building from medical office to luxury apartments. The building opened to residents in July 2006 and was fully leased in two months.

Unico actively invests in suburban, garden-style apartment communities with strong value-creation fundamentals in the Pacific Northwest. Specifically, Unico looks to invest in properties located in improving apartment markets or those that would benefit from property rehabilitation.

We continue to focus on developing and re-developing urban workforce apartments, as well as to acquire value-creation refurbishment projects in the Pacific Northwest. Unico is pursuing modular housing in several markets with our inhabit project.

Our current multifamily development is a 231-unit apartment complex located in Portland, Oregon's Pearl District. Construction of the mixed use residential and retail property began in January 2007, with the apartments scheduled to pre lease in Summer 2008 and the project to be fully completed by the end of 2008.
